The first step in City Utilities of Springfield’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program is a comprehensive home energy audit to identify where you can increase efficiency—and energy savings.
A qualified CU Home Performance Contractor will inspect your home inside and out to determine where improvements can save energy. The comprehensive audit includes evaluating the heating and cooling equipment, duct systems, lighting, and even appliances. Your contractor also will inspect your attic, basement or crawlspace, and run diagnostic tests to check the home’s envelope and duct leakage, or use an infrared camera to find trouble spots.
Once the audit is complete, you’ll have a roadmap to drive your home to better efficiency.
Eligibility:
•Must be a City Utilities residential single-family electric and/or natural gas customer (modular or manufactured homes do not qualify).
•Winner will be eligible to participate in all Home Performance with ENERGY STAR rebates, with the exception of the Home Energy Assessment rebate.
•All Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program guidelines apply.

Week 3:

Week 4:
LED Light Bulb – Sample the latest light bulb technology
Week 5:
EnergyWise Efficiency Kit – This kit includes 3 compact fluorescent lights, a high-efficiency showerhead, outlet and switchplate insulation gaskets, and a high-efficiency kitchen faucet aerator.
